    Hi everyone.

Provincials are being held at Scotian Bowmen This coming Sunday September 9th.

Shooting will start at 9 for 10 and will be a 720.

Afternoon will have individual shootoff and club shootoff.

    Hope to see you there.

Some of us are watching the progress of Hurricane Leslie to see if she is going to interfere with our weekend. Keep checking back to see what the plans are.....We want every one to make it home safe and sound.

    Hi Folks

Gayle has asked me to elaborate so here goes:

Morning will be a single 720 round for ranking and individual provincial champions.

Compound Distances (includes BHO, BHR, Hunter etc.)
Master, Junior, Senior, Cadet => 50m (eligible for world records)
Cubs => 40m (not eligible for world records)
Pre-cubs => 30m (not eligible for world records)

    Recurve Distances (includes barebow)
Senior => 70m (eligible for world records)
Cadet & Master => 60m (eligible for world records)
Cubs => 50m (not eligible for world records)
Pre-cubs => 30m (not eligible for world records)

Afternoon will be Individual shoot-offs and Club Team shoot-offs (speed round) all at 50m. Descriptions of these events can be found in the Target & Field Hosting Manual, Page 14. (see Target director page of AANS website)

Note that this will be one of the first 720 rounds with the new bow hunter categories so any good scores will probably be national and provincial records.

Expect delays as we figure out rankings.

    See you all there.

    Oh and the weather...

Tradition has it archery goes on unless archers are in danger, i.e. visible lightning or wind blown objects, danger of flood or forest fire.
